    • George A. Patti Jr., 75, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 11, 2020.

      A lifelong area resident, he was born Dec. 23, 1944, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of the late George C. and Jennie Cusimano Patti, Sr.

      He was an entrepreneur for over 50 years owning and operating several local businesses including; George Patti Construction, Inc, GP Auto Wrecking, Store-N-Lock Self Storage and the Lakeside Laundromat.

      George was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church, a member of the Lakewood YMCA, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Celoron Moose Lodge.

      George will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his visionary business sense. He enjoyed exercising at the YMCA and had recently developed a fondness for traveling and enjoyed spending time in Florida. He was a loving and involved “Papa” and enjoyed sharing family meals together on Sunday.

      Surviving are his three children; and five grandchildren.
      He was predeceased by : his wife Susan Marie Mordino Patti; and his brother James V. Patti. He is survived by : his children, George A. Patti, III (Kelly) of Jamestown, Ryan R. Patti (Danielle) of Jamestown and Michelle Patti Lawson of Buffalo, NY; and his grandchildren, Victoria Eckert (Josh) of Frewsburg, NY, Harrison Patti of Jamestown, Ethan Patti of Jamestown, Ava Patti of Jamestown and Gia Bella Patti of Jamestown.

      Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Marie Mordino Patti, whom he married Jan. 29, 1966, and who died May 11, 2014; and his brother, James V. Patti, who died March 18, 2020.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church.

      Entombment will be in the mausoleum in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

      Surviving are his children; George A. (Kelly) Patti, III, Ryan R. (Danielle) Patti both of Jamestown, Michelle
      Patti Lawson of Buffalo, NY, five grandchildren; Victoria (Josh) Eckert of Frewsburg, NY, Harrison Patti, Ethan
      Patti, Ava Patti and Gia Bella Patti all of Jamestown.
      Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and soul mate, Susan Marie Mordino Patti whom he
      married January 29, 1966 and who died May 11, 2014 and his brother, James V. Patti who died March 18, 2020.
      Due to the restrictions on public gatherings caused by the coronavirus outbreak, a private Mass of Christian
      Burial will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Patti Mausoleum in Holy
      Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
