- Newspaper Obituary - March 12, 2002 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - GEORGE J. SIMONEAU - George John Simoneau, 55, of Red Creek died Wednesday. Born in Italy, he grew up in the Oswego/Scriba area. He graduated from Oswego High School in 1964. He was a self-employed contractor and worked at the Boathouse Marina in Fair Haven. Survivors: His wife of 15 years, Donna; a daughter, Barbara Carson of Scriba; two sons, Brian and Brett, both of Scriba; two stepdaughters, Deborah Crawford of Waipahu, Hawaii, and Darcy Ford of Rochester; two stepsons, Donald Ford of Red Creek and Dennis Ford of San Antonio, Texas; two stepsisters, Heidi Simoneau and Kelli Clifford, both of Fulton; a stepbrother, Richard Simoneau of Volney; several grandchildren. Memorial services: 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Methodist Church, Red Creek. Burthwick Mortuaries, Honolulu, Hawaii, has arrangements.
