Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 7, 1979 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Margaret Sasser, 93, of Richland Road, widow of John Sasser, died Saturday, February 24 at an Oswego nursing home, where she had been a patient since December 6, 1978. Born September 27, 1885 in Petersburg, Iowa, she was the daughter of Clemens and Elizabeth Willenburg. She spent her childhood days and early married life in Iowa, North and South Dakota and Minnesota, moving to Pulaski in 1920 with her husband and family. Mr. Sasser died March 5, 1949. Mrs. Sassen has since made her home with her son, Cleo. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She is survived by two sons, Cleo and John of Portsmouth, Virginia; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Florence) Towsley; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Two daughters died in 1966. Funeral services were 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 27 at the Taylor-Vida Funeral Home, Pulaski and 10 am. at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Mass of Resurrection was celebrated with Rev. Thomas P. Whalen officiating. Spring burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Pulaski.
