- Helen T. Jesikiewicz, 82, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, in the General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Hudson on August 16, 1927, Helen was a daughter of the late John and Anna Starczyk Wincek. She was educated in the Plains Township school system and was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains Township. Helen was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her loving family whom she loved to take care of and spend time with. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley (Woody), who died September 21, 1992; her sister Mary Sabol; and by brothers John, Louis, Stanley and Joseph Wincek. Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Gubbiotti and her husband, Richard (Ben), Plains Township; Carol Reese and her husband, David, Hanover Township; and Janice Jones and her husband, Cliff, Hudson; grandchildren Jennifer Yuhas and her husband, Robert, Hudson; Jaclyn Jones, Hudson; and Amanda Reese, Hanover Township; sisters Celia Wincek, Hudson, and Frances Fadelsak, Jenkins Township; brothers John Wincek Jr., Hudson, and Walter Wincek, Spring Hill, Fla.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen's funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Mark V. Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains Township. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plains Township.
